My experience
Picture
I have worked with a variety of different people of all ages with a wide range of issues in voluntary agencies. I have a particular interest in working with young people aged 14 upwards. I have experience of working with people referred for counselling by their employer and in both short-term and long-term counselling.

I hold a Post graduate Diploma in Counselling from Strathclyde University.  Over the years, I have attended many training courses that inform my practice, exploring different ways to support my clients in getting in touch with what they truly feel.  Certain counselling styles suit some people more than others, so I draw from a range of methods to provide the right support for you.

My professional credentials

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This shows that I am qualified and experienced to a recognised standard. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice. Further information can be accessed on the BACP website at http://www.bacp.co.uk/

My background

Prior to my counselling career I worked for many years in a large organisation, as a senior administrator and as a business analyst.  I am familiar with the pressures, challenges and demands that come with a highly pressured job, managing complex teams and dealing with organisational change.
